Request a MODBUS over RS232 driver

Please consider a MODBUS over RS232 driver for standalone applications.


(I have been using the TCP/IP driver everywhere I can, and it works great! I'm not a fan of drivers that are specific to one particular brand of device.)

Look for this around December-January time frame. The driver exists now, but has not been tested and debugged.

Would be quite useful to have it support RS485 with slave addressing capability as well.

I've used this with a Horner OCS (touch screen with PLC) and it appears to work with a couple of tweaks - see my post in the Tip & Tricks for Horner Mobus RTU.

Sorry that I missed updating this thread, but the latest version now includes a ModbusRTU driver. However it is still largely untested so I am looking for feedback on any problems.

The latest version of 3.69 now has a well tested ModbusRTU driver.
