Title: Do we need Visual Studio 2017 /2019 install on the customer computer?

Hello,

Do we need Visual Studio 2017 /2019 install on the customer computer to run the AdvancedHMI?

I copied the whole folder to another desktop in my local LAN and run the file in debug, then its asking user/password for login back to my computer. The program very simple, just 2 textboxs reading value from a CompactLogix connecting to LAN network. Thanks.

It is not necessary to install VS. If it is asking for a username, then you must have clicked something other than the application file (AdvancedHMI.exe)

My bad, I created a shortcut to the AdvancedHMI.exe in my computer before send them. So when he clicked the shortcut, it linked back to the file on mine. All good now, thanks for your help.
