Can't get any buttons to work
« on: January 21, 2014, 12:28:24 PM »
Hello;
I cannot seem to get the buttons to write to the PLC.
I have a MicroLogix 1100ab which runs the program fine from the switches and buttons it is connected to.
I am using Visual Studio 2010 the HMI builds without errors.
The HMI will only write from the numeric pad of the digital panel meter.
The buttons will not write to the contact address that I have a switch connected to.
I also created internal contacts and gave the address to the button but it still would not change the state.
I also ran into errors when giving the switches internal contacts, I got an invalid PLC address error but the address is real.
I am very new to HMI programming.
Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thank you;
Dean

I figured out what I was doing wrong.
So it was a good learning experience.
I was able to create an HMI for my little elevator simulator I made for education purposes.
I attached a picture of it for fun.

Cheers;
