data binding crash

Hi,

I am a student and new to this platform, currently working on my senior design project.
I am trying to connect a database to my HMI, but whenever I 'create' the data binding under a button the whole application crashes. I've tried debugging before this but there are no errors or warnings.

When you say "whole application" do you mean Visual Studio?

yes, sometimes it just closes, and other times it restarts by itself.
