Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express
« on: April 30, 2015, 02:56:42 AM »
Dear Archie,

Just downloaded AdvancedHMIBetaV398g.
But it can't be opened with Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express.

The last version I used AdvancedHMIBetaV397e, can be opened with MV Basic 2010 express.
Any plan to downgrade?
Thank you.

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew ,

Have you upgraded your VB2010  with service pack 1 ?  I recently went from V3.97e to V3.98f and hit the same problem .

Dear Pal,

Does upgrading with SP1 solve the problem?

Best regards,
Andrew

From this point forward all versions will be only developed and tested with Visual Studio Community Edition, therefore a future version may no longer work with 2010. It is recommended to use Community Edition:

Although the Visual Studio Solution version has been upgrade, the target framework is still .NET 4.0, therefore the final application should the continue to run on the same target machines it did with prior versions.

At some point in the future, the target framework will be updated. At that time, the XP compatibility will be lost.

Here is the link for Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express SP1 installer.
It works for the latest version of AdvancedHMI.
