Quick Start Digital Meter

I know I have had this working several versions ago but now I'm stumped.

I am running VS 2013, AHMI 399e, RSLogix 500 and RSLinx 2.58 Release 4.
My choices under RSWho are:
00, Workstation,DF1-COM1 
or
01,Micrologix1000,ML1000

AHMI is configured as in Archie's video. And RS is configured as in the same video.

See the attached images.

I have tried with and without running RSLinx, but to no avail


Any help or instructions/corrections will be greatly appreciated.

Have to make sure RSLinx is definitely shut down. Even if you click the "X" it can still remain running and tie up the serial port. The best way to check is to open the Task Manangr (using Ctrl-Alt-Del) and look in the Processes to see is RSLinx.exe is running in the background.
