Datasubscriber not working like it was - using v3.99t

I forget what version I was using, but I am now on 3.99t.  I have a simple datasubscriber looking at a counter.acc (CpLX).  I'm looking at the datachanged event and it used to work correctly.  Now, it misses 20% of the time.  Is this a known issue?

Nevermind, I put a counter in vb and it is working, the code I have isn't, which is on me.
