Email Alert

I don't know very much VB at all. What would be involved in configuring email alerts triggered by a data value going out of a preset range, or by a bit set high?

 Has this been done? Would someone help me with the code - or is it available with a price?

This one currently being tested and will be an expansion pack when complete. You will simply add an Emailer component to your form, set the SMTP server, message information, then the bit to trigger the email.

Will it display the contents of a Modbus word  address to the operator, or only predefined text?

It will have a fixed message along with a suffix that can be the value of a register

Hi Archie.  I see its been awhile since the last post.  is this feature available?  i dont see a control in 3.70 toolbox or an expansion pack, thanks.

This control was in testing, but ended up on the back burner. It was intended to be part of an expansion pack, but the other components in the pack were never finished.
