Just installed AdvancedHMI v3.99f...attempting to use DigitalPanel control.

Added EthernetIpforSLCMicroCom to Form...Set IP appropriately and set Port to 2222 (Allen Bradley std)

On the control set PLCAddressValue to N100:2

The (2) No Response messages are flashed/displayed in the control Text property.

I have been told by our PLC guy that this should be a valid Address.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Port 2222 is for an older ABEthernet protocol typically used on early generation SLC5/05. The AdvancedHMI driver only supports the Ethernet/IP protocol, so it's default port is 44818

Using 44818, I am getting could not connect....Timed Out.

I am guessing our devices are too old?

Anyway to minimally update our hardware?

What PLC are you using?

Do you have a serial port available you can test with using the SerialDF1 driver?

PLC5/40.

I'm the VB guy no the PLC guy...so I do not have serial port access to the device.

For the 5/40, you will need to use the EthernetIPforPLC5Com driver. However, it still may not support Ethernet/IP. There are 2 way to check if it does. On the front of the processor or Ethernet card, there is typically the Ethernet/IP logo. Or if you use RSLinx and setup and Ethernet/IP driver, then go to RSWho to see if it shows up in the browse.

PLC5/40? LOL, Oh gosh, that's so new for me since I am still dealing with PLC2s.

I recently was able to upgrade a PLC2 machine to a newer type device that a number of people had been trying for years.  My next step is to upgrade it to a CLX system with AdvancedHMI.
