I think the significance here is now developer can use .NET core 3 to build Windows desktop apps using WPF and Windows Forms.
I dont think the current .NET core 2 can do that.

Bringing a UI to .NET core was a good thing. I was wondering if .NET core was going to remain limited to web applications for a UI. This now means AdvancedHMI can be ported to .NET core.
