Unable to Build Project in Visual Studio 2017

When I load the AdvancedHMIv35.sln and try to build it, I get an error message that says Couldn't process file MainForm.resx due to its being in the Internet or Restricted zone or having the mark of the web on the file. Remove the mark of the web if you want to process these files.       

What is causing this, and what must be done to build the solution?

If you try using the latest beta v3.99y, this might have been resolved there.

Thanks, Godra. I deleted the file, now I get a blank screen when I open the solution. And the homepage won't let me in so I can download a fresh version of the solution - it says that email is not recognized. When I use the link in my email from AdvancedHMI that acknowledged opening my account it lets me go to the download page but says the download max is 1, so I can't download another copy.

This software and website seems awfully buggy, is anyone actually using this to control operating machinery?

Yes, a lot of users. I have several deployed, not one issue, bug, or crash. But, I did my due diligence up front to make sure everything was ok.

When did you download it the first time? I just went through the process and it shows 5 downloads within 7 days are possible.

Also the resx files have been removed from the solution about 2 weeks ago. If your downloaded file is version 3.99x R1, then it will not have the resx files.

Archie - I downloaded VS 2017 and the Adv'dHMI file yesterday, Mar 16. The version of that came down was 3.99x, not 3.99x R1. I was able to download 3.99y Beta 28, but then when I go to install the drivers the only thing available in Toolbox is a serial port. I need a TCP/IP or MODBUS/TCP connection. I've attached a screen grab of the workspace; as you can see the Toolbox isn't holding anything other than a serial connection. There are VB items in the Solution Explorer.

Yes, I was able to build the solution with no errors. The image pasted in my last post is a screenshot of the compiled solution, built and with no files deleted. The toolbox is different from what is shown in the Youtube video, only a serial port showing. I can use that as proof of concept but it won't work for my project.

I just noticed the topic about using VS 2017 and enabled auto-populate in the toolbox, now everything is showing properly. Thanks for your support, guys - looks like I'll be able to take it from here.  ;)
