Which AutomationDirect PLC? Does it support Ethernet/IP? I would use direct PLC to PLC if possible.

DL-06 with ethernet only supports modbus tcp that I am aware of and do not want to put a prosoft modbus module in our rack.. I have the modbus side working just trying to be efficient with comms

I only use the ComBridge as a last resort because of potential issues such as someone closing the app or turning off the PC.

The ComBridge uses the normal subscription mechanism, so it goes into the pool of being optimized for you.
