Symbol Factory .NET & Advanced HMI
« on: August 02, 2021, 09:31:40 AM »
I would like to use Symbol Factory .NET with Advanced HMI and I found a youtube video showing someone who has done this successfully but the thing the video doesn't show is how to create the "SymbolAdvancedHMIcs" component which is shown under the "AdvancedHMIcs Components" in the tool box. In the video you drag the SymbolAdvancedHMIcs onto the form then you can open the component menu up and select Symbol Factory .NET and select any symbol you want. When it's done this way you get the Symbol Factory attributes and the AdvancedHMI PLC attributes. Attached is the youtube link.

Thanks for the reply MajorFault but I guess I didn't explain my issue well enough, I already have SymbolFactory.net and I know it's not free, I have it installed in AdvancedHMI but what I was referencing is that in the YouTube video I was referencing, that person had a component in their AdvancedHMI called "SymbolAdvancedHMIcs" and this allowed them to insert SymbolFactory symbols into the form WITH the AdvancedHMI PLC attributes. The standard SymbolFactory install does not have these attributes. So my question was how to obtain this component or how to create it. I was hoping somebody else figured this out. Thanks

So then ask that question for the devs, I gave you the link, they have support.  AHMI isn't unique, it is only controls built with .NET.  The devs for Symbol Factory .NET should be able to answer your direct questions about their product.
